Tram stop enhancement works
As part of the Victorian Government’s $328.4 million investment into critical public transport and road maintenance upgrades to create and support more than 600 jobs, we’re delivering a range of safety and operational improvements across Melbourne’s iconic tram network.
This $2.5 million program of improvements will deliver upgrades at over 80 stops.
Works include:
- line markings
- signage
- tactiles to assist people who are vision impaired
About Melbourne’s tram network
Melbourne’s tram network is the largest in the world, with over 1600 tram stops over 25 routes and approximately 250 kilometres of track across the network.
